Dec Foster
We’re delighted to welcome Dec Foster as our new Musical Director for 2026.
A talented musical director, choral arranger and classical pianist, Dec brings a wealth of experience from choirs and singing groups across the UK and internationally — including Oxford Out of the Blue, the Kew Gardens Choir and Regent’s Park College Chapel Choir. But most importantly, Dec is passionate about bringing people together through singing — helping singers of all abilities to grow in confidence, enjoy making music and have fun along the way. We are really excited to see what we can create together!

WHEN AND WHERE DO YOU MEET?
We meet on Tuesday nights at 8pm to 9.30pm inside the main hall of Robert Piggott Infant School, Beverley Gardens, Wargrave, RG10 8ED.
I'VE NEVER SUNG IN A CHOIR BEFORE, DOES THAT MATTER?
No problem! We would love to hear from you! You don't need any singing experience to join in, just bring a bottle of water, a pencil and a sense of humour! We will offer you a warm welcome and help you settle in.
I'M NOT IN WARGRAVE, CAN I JOIN?
Yes, absolutely! Many of our members live in surrounding towns and villages. There is plenty of free parking at the venue.
I CAN'T ATTEND EACH WEEK - IS THAT OK?
Absolutely! We know life gets busy, so just come along whenever you can. We provide tracks to help you catch up between sessions, and our relaxed, friendly atmosphere means you'll soon feel part of the choir. We have lots of fun, lots of laughter and always go home buzzing!
WHAT DO YOU SING?
Our Musical Director arranges our songs so they are unique and suit our mixed ability and experience. We sing a mix of modern genre, like George Ezra, Coldplay, Billy Joel, Elton John, ELO, Queen & Elbow to name a few, as well as other genres like Folk, Gospel and Musicals. We have performed more classical songs too including, Gloria & Va, Pensiero. So there is something for everyone to enjoy.
DO I HAVE TO TAKE PART IN PERFORMANCES?
No, it's perfectly fine with us if you don't wish to perform, we just want you to enjoy your singing with us, whether that's just in rehearsals or in front of a crowd. You choose.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Please see 'How to Join' page for details. We are an entirely self-funding choir. We try hard to make it affordable for all, keeping our monthly membership costs low. This offers everyone great value and enables us to support local young musicians with bursary support.

Through our membership and fundraising, we support local music activities which help bring music to those where it needed the most. This is facilitated by 'Music & Me' who have offered young musician's bursaries since 2010, arrange music for community care settings and provide vital subsidised music tuition in Wargrave, Berkshire.
